Celebrating Your Wedding at a Luxury Glamping Getaway
Glamping at upscale, stylish resorts and accommodations listed on the site GlampingHub.com has become an increasingly popular wedding and honeymoon trend
If your dream wedding involves a stunning natural landscape with few or no manmade structures, or you crave a honeymoon getaway that’s more about s’mores by the campfire than nesting at an all-inclusive resort, you’re not alone. Increasingly, couples are choosing to marry at public parks and private campgrounds, and to travel to remote “glamping” hideaways following their weddings.
“Weddings are something we’re seeing a fast-growing demand for,” says Giovanna Tapia, a representative with Glamping Hub, a site that represents more than 12,000 accommodations, many that can host small events. You’ll find safari tents, airy A-frame cabins, fanciful treehouses, and mobile “tiny houses” on the site, which ranks Texas among its most popular destinations.
A related trend is upscale, smartly designed RV parks and camping resorts, which have sprung up in a number of spots popular with LGBTQ travelers. Some stylish favorites include Vintages Trailer Resort in Oregon’s Willamette Valley Wine Country; El Cosmico, in the funky West Texas town of Marfa; Kate’s Lazy Desert, about 40 miles north of Palm Springs; and AutoCamp, which has locations in California’s Russian River and Santa Barbara. These properties feature retro-chic accommodations—from tricked-out antique Airstreams and other refurbished trailers to luxurious yurts and teepees.
